Your Questions, Answered

If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out or bring it up during your consultation.

  • Yes. All appointments require a non-refundable deposit to secure your time. Deposits go toward the final cost of your tattoo.

  • Start by scheduling a consultation through the booking link. This allows us to align on your idea, placement, and direction before setting your tattoo appointment.

  • What to Bring

To make the most of your consultation, come prepared with any ideas or references that help communicate your vision.

    • Reference images — Photos, tattoos, artwork, or anything that reflects the style you’re drawn to

    • Placement ideas — Where you’re considering the tattoo and approximate size

    • Concept or meaning — Even if it’s not fully formed, a general idea helps guide the design

    • Openness to direction — Trust the process and be open to adjustments that improve flow, fit, and longevity

You don’t need to have everything figured out—that’s what the consultation is for. The goal is to give enough direction to begin shaping a design that works for you.

  • Rates vary depending on size, detail, and placement. I work at an hourly rate with a minimum, and full-day sessions are available for larger projects. Exact pricing is discussed during your consultation.

  • Yes. I take on coverups ranging from small corrections to larger, more complex pieces. Each project is evaluated individually to determine the best approach.

  • Once your appointment is secured, your design is thoughtfully prepared leading up to your session. I create designs the night before or the morning of your appointment, allowing me to approach each piece with fresh focus and intention.

If any adjustments are needed, we’ll review and refine the design together when you arrive for your appointment. This collaborative process typically takes about 30 minutes and ensures everything feels right before we begin. Once you’ve approved the final design, we move forward with the tattoo.

Each step is intentional so you can feel confident in both the process and the result. My goal is to create a smooth, focused experience where everything is clear before we start.

  • Come well-rested, hydrated, and with a full meal. No caffeine the day of your appointment so you are relaxed as possible during your session. Wear comfortable loose clothing that allows access to the area being tattooed. If you prefer to bring your own pillow and blanket feel free. Comfort is key.

  • Space is limited, and to maintain a focused and comfortable environment, more than 1 guest is generally not permitted unless discussed in advance.

  • Rescheduling is allowed with 48 hours notice. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred with adequate communication.

  • I specialize in Black and Grey Realism, Color Realism, Neo-Traditional, Ornamental, and Watercolor, while remaining open to a variety of styles that allow for custom, creative work.

    • Do not leave wrap on more than 2 hours

    • Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

    • In the shower let water run over the tattoo instead of directly spraying onto it. Lightly wash the tattooed area with antibacterial soap and rinse gently. Only wash with fingertips, do not use a washcloth. Let the tattoo air dry then apply the thinnest amount of ointment possible. Once the tattoo begins to peel, you will want to apply the ointment very carefully with small dabbing motions rather than rubbing the tattoo.

      • Vitalitree can be used 2-4 times spaced out evenly throughout the day

      • Aquaphor apply: NO more than 2 times a day, at least 5 hours apart. Over use of petroleum based products can lead to clogged pores and small pimples over the tattoo area. Be cautious and apply very sparingly. If pimples occur contact your artist for further care instructions.

    • Itching begins anywhere between 6-10 days. Although it’s going to be very tempting to pick at the peeling skin, DO NOT pull any off. Continue to apply ointment daily, this will reduce itching and help healing.

    • It is imperative to the correct healing of your new tattoo that you do not pick or rub off any peeling skin before it is ready to fall off. Premature peeling can cause ink to fall out or leave scar tissue.

    • Once the peeling is done you can switch to any non-scented lotion. Depending on the natural dryness of your skin you may need more or less moisture at this stage. Use your best judgement. If any peeling remains, allow it to stay as long as possible to retain ink.

    • After the tattoo is done peeling and your skin returns to normal, apply lotion once a day. This will brighten up the new tattoo and extend the life of the color.

    PRECAUTIONS

    • Don't let anyone else touch your tattoo.

    • No soaking tattoo in a bath, hot tub, pools, lakes, or any body of water for 3 weeks (normal shower is fine). The tattoo must not be submerged or soaked for long periods of time in any water.

    • For at least three weeks following the procedure minimize exposure to the sun, excessive sun exposure can lead to blistering and be detrimental to the healing of the tattoo.

    • Use sterile bandage or dressing when necessary.

    • Avoid exercise for 48 hours. Exercise can cause friction and that movement may slow the healing or not allow it to heal properly. Listen to your body during the healing process, if it hurts - don't do it.

    • Don’t wear jewelry, tight clothing, or anything that might rub against your tattoo while it heals.

    • If you have pets or children at home be cautious of them jumping or scratching the tattoo. This could pull out ink and leave a scar.

    • Don't shave the area for at least a few weeks after getting a new tattoo. Trying to shave within this timeframe will probably cause you to shave right through a scab or a patch of peeling skin.

    • If pets sleep in your bed, change your sheets before sleeping with a fresh tattoo. Consider removing pets until the tattoo begins to flake as this is a sign of the skin being fully closed and healing.

    • Be mindful of surfaces you place your tattoo on. Especially in public places or where frequent sanitation does not occur.

Failure to follow after care instructions may result in pigment loss, discoloration, or infection.

  • No. Children are not permitted in the studio unless they are receiving a service from our piercer. Any children accompanying a scheduled appointment must remain outside with a guardian.
